VISION FOR OVERSEAS MISSIONS

"To help equip and resource local pastors from India, Africa, Pakistan and other third world and developing nations to win their villages and cities to Christ and to help them to train up others for the work of the ministry"

EQUIPPING PASTORS

Church of Hope has an active missions program which is focused on helping to encourage, equip and empower pastors in the more remote areas of India, Africa and Pakistan to be more effective in seeing their communities come to Christ. A key focus is on training up groups of pastors who in turn are able to train up other groups of pastors. (2 Timothy 2:2)

RESOURCING PASTORS

At each pastors workshop all those who have attended are given a set of Church of Hope training manuals. Given that many of the remote village pastors in Africa and India have had little Bible College training, providing the pastors with these training manuals is a key part of our missions vision at Church of Hope. Pastor David Musunza from Kenya, is pictured here with 100 sets of manuals that were given out to pastors who attended his Nairobi Pastors Workshop.

VISION FOR INDIA, AFRICA AND PAKISTAN

OVERVIEW: Working together with the local national pastors, training up key pastors who will be able to hold one-week pastors training workshops throughout India, Africa and Pakistan. Part of the focus of these workshops will also be to help equip local pastors to run a six-month Evangelism Training Course for their own church members and for other pastors and Christians within their region. The Apostle Paul wrote, "And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." (2 Timothy 2:2)

FOCUS:

• To help train up groups of 30 pastors in different regions of India, Africa and Pakistan to run one-week workshops for other village pastors in the areas that they come from. The initial focus is to equip these 30 pastors to train up further groups of 30 pastors. (A proposed structure for one-week workshops has been put together to help these pastors to run effective workshops after completing this training.) Click "HERE" to download the Pastors Workshop Guidelines Manual

• Encouraging and resourcing the pastors who attend these pastors workshops to run workshops in other states of India and other places within Africa and Pakistan for other groups of 30 pastors.

All pastors workshops run for these groups of 30 pastors will always have a two-fold purpose:

1) To equip these pastors to run further "Pastors Workshops" for other groups of 30 pastors, and

2) To equip these local pastors to run a six-month Evangelism Training School (Course) for their own church members and for other pastors and Christians who live in their immediate area.

Church of Hope undertakes to subsidise the cost of translating and printing the manuals for all  workshops run by our church missions teams in India and Africa. To further help support the work of the Kitale Bible College in Kenya, Church of Hope would also like to be able to help print some of the ministry manuals for many of the Kitale Bible College students in 2011. Given the poverty in Africa this would be a great blessing for many. To do this will require the support of other Christians and churches who also have a heart to support overseas missions work.

Being a faith ministry Church of Hope depends always on the faithful and generous support of other Christians and churches who have a heart for missions in the Third World nations.

Due to the support of many generous Christians we have been able to supply all of the pastors who have attended our workshops over the past three years with sets of ministry training manuals. This support is greatly appreciated.

Please call Pastor Conrad Fenton on 0413 483 858 if you would like to know more about Church of Hope's missions work in India and Africa, or the training workshops. Alternatively you can email him at churchofhope@hotmail.com

ALL MISSIONS TRIPS HAVE THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING AN ONGOING COMMITMENT TO SUPPORTING AND ENCOURAGING OVERSEAS PASTORS TO TRAIN UP OTHER PASTORS

ONGOING WORK IN INDIA

The main focus of all of the missions trips run by Church of Hope are to train up and to empower third world pastors to equip other pastors to run workshops.  Pastor John Mark from Suryapet (pictured right in the photo) is now translating the Church of Hope manuals into Telegu and will be holding pastors workshops for groups of 30 pastors every three months in the more remote areas of Andhra Pradesh.

CONGO WORKSHOP FOLLOWS NAIROBI PASTORS WORKSHOP

Church of Hope commenced for the first time in 2010 training up pastors in Kenya to run workshops for other pastors throughout Kenya and Africa. At present the ministry manuals are being translated into Swahili by Pastor David Musunza. Pastor Obed from Congo, who attended the Nairobi Pastors Conference in Kenya, ran his own pastors workshop in October to train up 40 pastors from Congo and other countries such as Rwanda.
